Duval County Public Schools Partners With Teen Court Program for Mural Ribbon-Cutting

Jacksonville, FL - Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) is proud to announce the collaborative effort between the district and the city’s Teen Court Program. The mural project entitled, “Design For Our Future,” includes elements of inclusion, progression and higher education.

For almost a year, three Jacksonville students, who are also Teen Court participants, worked with the district to develop an artistic depiction of a new Jacksonville. The mural symbolizes the elements necessary for success and embraces the philosophy and mission of achieving “One City, One Vision.”

Please join us for the ribbon-cutting at the mural a t 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 23 on the 4th floor of the Duval County Public Schools’ administration building. In attendance will be Superintendent Pratt-Dannals, the mural’s artists, Teen Court and district representatives.

What: Ribbon-cutting at a massive mural symbolizing unity and diversity in the city of Jacksonville. The mural is on six 8-foot by 4-foot panels which will line the 4th floor hallway of the Duval County Public Schools’ administration building.

When: Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 10 a.m.

Where: Duval County Public Schools administration building, 1701 Prudential Drive Jacksonville, FL 32207-4th Floor outside main elevators
