Media Advisory - Free Tutoring for Eligible Students

WHAT:
Duval County Public Schools is offering free tutoring to students who meet certain qualifications. As a result of the federal No Child Left Behind Act, students can be eligible to receive extra help in the areas of math, reading, language arts and science. In order to participate in this opportunity, the student must be enrolled in an eligible Title I school and qualify for free or reduced price lunch.
Tutoring applications will be mailed to eligible students on August 18 and must be returned to the Title I Office by September 2, 2011.
