Media Advisory - Raines High Receives Donation for New Mascot

WHAT:
Jacksonville native, novelist and screenwriter Brenda Jackson, will be presenting her alma mater William M. Raines High School with a $2,000 donation that will be used to purchase a new mascot for the school. Ms. Jackson will also give a special presentation to 11th and 12th graders.

She has authored 90-plus books that are made up of multicultural romance novels. Several of her books have made the USA Today’s Best-Selling Books list.

Ms. Jackson recently turned one of her novels Truly Everlasting into a movie. It made its debut on the big screen November 5, 2011 at the Florida Theater in downtown Jacksonville, FL.
