Media Advisory - Statement Regarding Resignation of
Raines High School Principal

“This afternoon I accepted the resignation of Principal George Maxey from Raines High School for misconduct," said Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals.

"This is unfortunate for Raines High School and our entire district. The greatest responsibility we hold is to set a good example for our children. Administrators are held to the highest standard and I expect them to provide honesty and integrity to our students.”

Duval County Public Schools operates 177 schools and serves approximately 125,000 students. The school district is committed to providing high quality educational opportunities that will inspire all students to acquire and use the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a global economy and culturally diverse world.
