Duval County Public Schools Announces the 2012 Florida Blue Teacher of the Year Semifinalists

Jacksonville, FL - The fifteen semifinalists for the 2012 Florida Blue Teacher of the Year have been named. These teachers were selected from more than 163 school representatives based on the nomination packet they completed and classroom observation.

The following semifinalists will be interviewed by the District Selection Committee, who will then narrow the field to five finalists:

The 2012 Duval County Teacher of the Year will be announced at the EDDY Awards on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. The EDDY Awards are hosted by the Jacksonville Public Education Fund and the Schultz Center for Teaching and Leadership. The Florida Blue Duval County Teacher of the Year will then go on to compete for the state-wide title.
