Media Advisory- Mayport Middle School Hosts Several Events

WHAT:
Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School will host The National Science Center’s (NSC) Mobile Discovery Center (MDC) and their sister school, Booker T. Washington Middle from Newport News, Virginia in two separate events next week.

The MDCs are mobile classrooms focusing on physical science concepts for students in grades 4-9. They are designed by the NSC and staffed by U.S. Army soldiers and Department of Army civilian personnel. The demonstrations are fun and exciting for both students and teachers. For more information, click here.

Following the visit of the MDC, Mayport Middle will host a three-day visit for Booker T. Washington Middle. These schools are the only schools in the country that share the same theme of “Marine Sciences and Pre-AP.”
