Media Advisory - Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology's Aviation Advisory Board Meeting
WHAT:
Principal Cathy Barnes of Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology will acknowledge Judy Rice, a member on the Aviation Advisory Board, for her "Think Global Flight." Ms. Rice flew across Oman, India and Thailand in December 2011, taking time in each country to learn about the people and their countries.
Ms. Rice has made efforts to connect her global experiences with the students at Frank H. Peterson. Students tracked her flights throughout winter break.
During the Aviation Advisory Board meeting, the aviation student with the highest grade point average at Frank H. Peterson will win a free introductory flight on behalf of Atlantic Aviation Flight School.
BAE Systems, a global company delivering products and services for air, land and naval forces, will join the Board meeting to announce a new partnership with Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology. This partnership will allow students to enhance their classroom experiences with field trips and hands-on lessons.
Students in the Aviation Academy at Frank H. Peterson work in conjunction with instructors from the Aviation Center for Excellence at Cecil Field. This academy's courses of study include exploring aviation, aviation electronics and aviation maintenance technology.
