Media Advisory - Mayor Alvin Brown to Celebrate Black History Month at Greenfield Elementary
WHAT:
Mayor Alvin Brown will participate in Greenfield Elementary School’s celebration of Black History Month. The celebration of Black History Month began in 1926 and is an annual observance for the remembrance of important people and events in the history of African heritage.
The Honorable W. C. Gentry, Greenfield’s School Board member, will accompany Mayor Brown in the Black History Month celebration. The event will include an honorary assembly.
