State Board of Education Vote - FCAT 2.0 Writing
In an emergency session this morning, the State Board of Education passed a resolution to count as proficient any student who scored a 3.0 or higher on the 2012 Writing assessment. This is for this year only and the Florida Department of Education will work with an external agency (Buros) to examine what may have caused the drastic decline from last year in the percent of students scoring 4.0+. This means the following:

Individual writing scores are expected to be released later this week.
