Media Advisory - District's Title I Parent Program Holds End-of-Year Review

WHAT:
Duval County Public Schools' Title I Parent Involvement Program along with the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Forum will hold an end-of-the-year review session at Florida State College at Jacksonville. The meeting marks the fourth consecutive year that the review session has been held. The theme for this year's wrap-up event is "Families Making Dreams Come True."

Stakeholders will review and evaluate the district's Title I Parent Involvement program for the 2011-12 school year. The group will also offer feedback for the District Parent Involvement Plan for the 2012-13 school year.

The PAC Forum will present parents and guardians with information about community resources, engage them in conversations and share tips to help their child achieve their dreams.

Newly elected officers will be installed for the upcoming school year and parents will be inducted into the program. The event is free to parents and guardians with students attending a Title I school or live in a Title I area.
