Media Advisory - Chets Creek's 14th Annual Pow Wow for Kindergarteners
WHAT:
Chets Creek Elementary will hold its 14th annual Pow Wow for the kindergarten classes. The Pow Wow is the culminating celebration event for the students' stud of Native American culture.
The day will begin outside with a fire and authentic Native American heritage activities to honor the culture. Kindergarteners will dress in authentic tribal garments and will be divided into a council of tribes, replicating the Native American tribes. They will experience tribal games, Indian hunting, and will explore artifacts, songs, food tasting, stories, gardening and art.
