Spotlight On Education

DCPS' Students Receive Scholarships from Aramark Education

11 Duval County Public Schools' (DCPS) students received $900 scholarships from Aramark Education during the June 9, Duval County School Board meeting.

For more than 17 years, Aramark Education has provided scholarships to DCPS’ students to use for their post-secondary educational expenses.

Aramark Education’s Resident District Manager, Catherine Thorne and Wiley Swanson, the director of community relations, presented the following students with plaques and $900 checks:

  • Brianne Quist, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts
  • Hasseb Qazizada, Robert E. Lee High School
  • Pamilerin Ajani, Andrew Jackson High School
  • Dunja Zelihic, Mandarin High School
  • Joseph Bennett, Paxon School for Advanced Studies
  • Xavier Ellison, Frank H. Peterson Academy of Technology
  • Jamie Patrick, Raines High School
  • Freddie Fears, Jean Ribault High School
  • D’Andra Gill, A. Philip Randolph Academy of Technology
  • James Tyer, Stanton College Preparatory; and
  • Jasmine Harris, Wolfson High School
