Calling all local teen bands/musicians!!!
Do you have what it takes to be the next Battle of the Bands champions? Are you between 12 and 18 years of age? If so, sign up for the Jacksonville Public Library's 3rd Annual Battle of the Bands competition.
To sign up, call 904-630-0673 or visit the Teen Department at the Main Library. Registration ends at 6 p.m. on May 31, 2008.
All music genres and styling (instruments, a cappella, background tracks, etc.) are welcome. There are prizes given for first, second and third place. One of the prizes is a guitar and amp from the Guitar Center.
The Battle of the Bands competition will be held Saturday, June 21, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Hicks Auditorium of the Main Library, 303 N. Laura St., Jacksonville, FL 32202.
