On Saturday, October 18, Annie R. Morgan Elementary partnered with CMC Recycling to host a School Beautification Day.
CMC Recycling, a company that recycles all types of scrap metals, from aluminum to zinc, provided volunteers who, along with the school’s teachers and some students, helped beautify the campus.
Volunteers dressed in 'Got Scrap' t-shirts provided by CMC Recycling picked up trash and debris, swept sidewalks and entry ways, and cleaned out flower beds.
Third-grade teacher Meredith Preston and Principal Donna Frank helped organize the event, and are now in the process of planning future activities that will further revitalize the school grounds.
