This year, the Gamma Rho Omega Scholarship Committee, contributed $20,000 toward the post-secondary careers of six Duval County Public Schools’ students, through their AKA Dollars for Scholars program.
Since 1945, the Gamma Rho Omega Chapter has awarded more than $575,000 in scholarships. Each year, the scholarship committee coordinates the chapter’s scholarship program by soliciting applicants from area high schools, colleges and universities.
Patronage of the Ebony Fashion Fair Show supports these local scholarships, which the scholarship committee coordinates through the Alpha Jax Foundation, Inc.
Scholarship Program. Donations are also made to the Florida Community College of Jacksonville's Scholarship Foundations, Inc.
