Congratulations to the 75 students at Highlands Middle School who made the A/B honor roll for the first quarter of the 2008/2009 school year.
These students were recently recognized at a special A/B Honor Roll award ceremony where they heard from guest speaker Frank Talbot, the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division for the Jacksonville office of the U.S. Department of Justice.
The school's high achievers were also recognized before their peers in a Power of Productive Students (POPS) Award Ceremony.
"I applaud our students for their commitment to success," said Principal Dr. Catherine Barnes. "I also appreciate the dedication of our teachers and the support of the staff in our guidance department who take great pride in making every effort to support and acknowledge the academic achievement of the students at Highlands Middle School."
