Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) School Police Chief, Michael Herrington, assumed the duties of president of the National Association of School Safety and Law Enforcement Officers (NASSLEO) at its 39th annual conference in Philadelphia in July.
NASSLEO provides professional information, training and other resources to school districts and law enforcement agencies across the nation and Canada. Its membership is comprised of educators, law enforcement and security officers, as well as other professionals who share the common goal of protecting students, staff and physical assets.
Before taking the helm as president, Herrington served as vice president and president elect.
