More than 100 people attend the Andrew Robinson Elementary Family Night on December 4, an event that provided kindergarten through second-grade students and their families with reading and math strategies.
Organized by second-grade teacher Ann Marie Giesen, the purpose of the evening event was to increase parent awareness of the reading and math resources that can be used at home to help their students, and supplement the instruction the students receive in the classroom.
Teachers presented Web site resources, and reading and math strategies to give parents a better understanding of how to help their student. Additionally, breakout sessions were held for each grade level. After the breakout sessions, dinner and refreshments were served.
