The San Jose Elementary PTA fall carnival held on Saturday, Oct. 4, was a fun-filled family and community event that included a flea market, health fair and safety program.
Prudential volunteers set up two tents and processed 156 ID-A-Kid kits for 88 families, and members of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office discussed safety procedures with students. Baptist Health Systems provided blood pressure and asthma screenings for more than 100 people. They also distributed information about heart disease, diabetes and nutrition.
Students also had the opportunity to play games, jump in a bouncy house and demonstrate their throwing talent by dunking a teacher in a dunking booth.
