Holiday Hill Elementary recently hosted its Night of the Arts, a culminating event that showcased the students' hard work and talent in the fields of visual and performing art.
In the media center, the visual artwork students created throughout the year was on display. Performing art events were held in the cafeteria, and included presentations by the school's Orff Ensemble, chorus group, poetry performance team, and tinikling team, which featured juggling. (Tinikling is the national dance of the Philippines that involves people using bamboo poles in a dance.)
According to the school's media specialist, Patricia Cloud, Night of the Arts has been an annual event at Holiday Hill for several years, but this year's program was the best so far.
"Night of the Arts is always a delightful assortment of visual art, music, spoken word and movement, but this year's program surpassed expectations when the Holiday Hill community was treated to stellar performances."
