On May 19, Jean Ribault High School inducted 53 students, both juniors and seniors, into the National Honor Society (NHS).

Established in 1921, the NHS is the nation's premier organization created to recognize outstanding high school students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Principal Royce Turner read the NHS pledge as the students repeated behind him. After the reading, Principal Turner told the crowd, "So often, we are inundated with stories of young people doing the wrong thing, but today is a day of celebration because before us, we have a crowd of young people doing the right thing."
During the ceremony, the inductees' names were called as they walked across the stage to write their name in the school's NHS registry and received a certificate and pin.
