Spotlight On Education

103rd Street Walmart Sends Thousands to Oak Hill Elementary

Oak Hill Elementary recently received a special gift from their business partner, the Walmart Store on 103rd Street. The school was presented with $3,150 in Walmart gift cards, thanks to donations from Walmart and other partners, including the Pepsi Bottling Group.

In addition to donating these giftcards, earlier in the year, Walmart sent 10 gift cards in the amount of $100 for the school’s certified teachers, donated several truckloads of school supplies, sent a crew of employees to help clean up and beautify the school campus, and also donated a few cakes to celebrate the careers of retiring teachers.

"We are so appreciative of the support Walmart and our other business partners have shown to Oak Hill Elementary’s students, teachers and staff," said Principal Becky Rhoden. "Their dedication and commitment to our school and our academic efforts means so much to us."
