The DCPS' Vision Services Department recently organized a visit from the OneSight Vision Van at Paxon Middle School.
Students from Paxon Middle, as well as Pickett, Rufus Payne and G.W. Carver elementary schools, received free eye exams and glasses.
The students, who were screened and referred through DCPS' Vision Services beforehand, received a complete follow-up eye examination and, if needed, a pair of eyeglasses. Glasses were made on the spot, and students were able to wear their new glasses when they returned to school that day.
The OneSight Vision Van is part of the Luxottica Group Foundation.
