Greenfield Elementary recently received a special gift of more than 100,000 Campbell Soup labels from one of their business partners, the Publix Supermarket at Deerwood Lake Parkway.
Because of their generosity, the school was able to purchase a variety of educational materials that will enhance their students learning experience, including classroom clock sets, iPods to download e-books and a mega microscope, as well as a variety of reading rods for sight words, word building and mat CDs.
Greenfield also welcomed special visitors when Vistakon volunteers (through the Junior Achievement program) spent the day at their school working on projects with kindergarten, first and second-grade students.
Each grade level had a different project, and the volunteers brought all of the materials they needed to complete their tasks. Students learned about managing money, getting along in families, and about the difference between wanting something and needing it.
The Greenfield Elementary family sends a big thank you to Publix at Deerwood Lake and to their Vistakon volunteers!
