Every fourth- and fifth-grade student in Ms. Stacy Avera's class at
John E. Ford K-8 received a brand new pair of Reebox tennis shoes, thanks to the Jaguars Foundation.
This special gift was sent from Mrs. Weaver and the foundation as an appreciation for the students' kind words and thankfulness. Earlier this year, Ms. Avera's class had the opportunity to attend a Jaguars home game because of the Honor Rows program. After the game, each student made a thank you card to send to the foundation.
According to Ms. Avera, she received a response from the Jaguars Foundation thanking her class for their card notes – the first thank you cards the foundation had received since the Honor Rows program's inception years ago. The foundation thanked the students in return by delivering the Reebox shoes to each of them.
Ms. Avera and her students are grateful for their gift, and send the Jaguars Foundation and the Weavers a big thank you!
