Fun Run Brings Thousands to Beauclerc Elementary

Beauclerc Elementary recently hosted a Fun Run, raising more than $11,000 and earning a Snow Day for students later this spring.

The Fun Run was an opportunity to include the entire school in a fitness awareness event – supporting Beauclerc's theme of "Get Ready, Get Set, Get Fit!" - and a way to raise additional funds to maintain and support PTA programs that directly benefit the students and teachers.

Students collected pledges in advance from their “fans.” On the day of the run, at 45-minute intervals, students from each grade level walked/ran the course, while the sound of music and parents cheering along the way pumped up the participants.

Bronze, silver and gold-level prizes were awarded, and Top Class and Top Student t-shirts were given. Additionally, every student who participated received a certificate.

The Fun Run was sponsored by the Beauclerc PTA, and organized by the PTA, Coach Dudjak, Coach Scott and music teacher Steve Gonzalez.
