High school seniors from
First Coast High who have been accepted to and are considering attending the University of North Florida (UNF) recently had the opportunity to attend a special Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon.

The guest speaker for the event was Dominique Dawes, Olympic gold medalist in U.S. Women’s Gymnastics. She spoke to the students about motivation and perseverance, telling them to never give up and to keep striving for what they want out of life.
The First Coast students also had the opportunity to hear from UNF President and former Mayor of Jacksonville, John Delaney, as well as spend time with current UNF students who provided them with first-hand knowledge of being a student at the university.
Guests were entertained by the UNF Chamber Singers and Jazz Band, and served a formal lunch.
