Tori Dailey, a student at
Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, has had her film, THE KID, chosen as the opening night film during the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY), the largest and most influential film festival for young filmmakers.
"Tori is a highly talented female filmmaker," said Douglas Anderson Department Chair of Cinematic Arts Nicholas Quin Serenati. "This is a tremendous honor for the program and a great opportunity for one of our star student filmmakers."
The National Film Festival for Talented Youth is providing Tori with round-trip airfare and family accommodation to the festival in Seattle, Washington, so her achievements can be recognized.
According to NFFTY's Web site, each year the film festival includes 100+ film screenings, filmmaking panels, concerts by youth bands, and opportunities for young filmmakers to network with industry professionals and each other.
