Snow in March at Beauclerc Elementary Cultural Arts Day and Reading Celebration

The PTA sponsored a variety of events and activities for the Beauclerc Elementary Cultural Arts Day and Reading Celebration, providing the school's 1,250 students (as well as their teachers and parents) with the opportunity to have fun and celebrate their successes.

The event kicked off with a flag raising ceremony and performance by the Wolfson High School Band, and then throughout the day classes rotated among the various activities.

In the multi-purpose room, students who met their third-quarter reading goal were able to watch a presentation of Ernest L. Thayer's classic poem Casey at the Bat by Theatreworks Jax. The play taught the importance of physical fitness and commitment.

Students who visited the cafeteria became Young Rembrandts as they received art lessons. Outside in the amphitheater "Healthy Herb" presented a skit about nutritional foods and taking care of our bodies and mind by exercising and eating right.

The ultimate event was the Snow Blizzard! Since students met their reading and fundraising goals, a mountain of snow was delivered. Dressed in appropriate winter clothing, these Florida kids had a real treat as they played in the snow.
