More than 250 people packed the cafeteria for the "Stars Over Highlands" talent show presented by the students of
Highlands Middle Aviation & Military Science Academy.
The talent show began four years ago under the inspiration of guidance counselor Donna Williams, the Highlands Middle 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year.
The project was created to instill a spirit of excellence among the Highlands learning community, and has proven to be a tremendous motivational vehicle to help build confidence and self-esteem in the students.
During the show, there were 33 acts of all kinds, including singing, music, drama and dance.
First place went to a singing duo, second place to a jazz band and third place to a dance troop.
