You would think that
Fort Caroline Elementary Principal Tammy Boyd would have learned her lesson last year - she told her students she didn’t think they could meet her challenge of reading tens of thousands of books. They not only met her challenge, but surpassed it, and got to slime their principal as a reward.

This year, the challenge was a creepy, crawly situation for Boyd: if her 620 students read more than 53,000 books, she would get wormed in front of the entire school.
At a special flag raising ceremony, the results came in - the students had read 73,988 books!
Principal Boyd was excited for the students, but soon had to sit in a baby pool filled with dirt to await her slimy friends. The top readers from every grade level got to scoop out worms to pour on Boyd’s head. She squealed as they wiggled down her shirt and pants. Finally, their teacher of the year, Christina Burleson, dropped the rest of the worms and dirt all over their beloved principal!
Boyd, happy that her students met their reading goal, told them next year they were going to have to read 100,000 books before they would have the opportunity to slime or worm her (or worse!) again.
