School districts across the state recently participated in "Celebrate Literacy Week!" with a wide variety of literary events and celebrations. In all of our district schools, students participated in the Million Minute Marathon, which challenged Duval students to read a total of one million minutes or more in one day.
Congratulations to the students and teachers of Duval County for exceeding our million minute goal. Even without all of
the totals from every school, we exceeded the goal by nearly 300,000 minutes.
Way to go, DCPS!
