Lake Shore Middle Makes Triumphant Return to Florida Band Master's Association District Solo Ensemble

Schools throughout the district recently participated in the Florida Band Master's Association District Solo Ensemble at Landmark Middle.

It was an especially exciting event for Lake Shore Middle who returned to the state sanctioned assessment process after a 20-year absence, thanks in part to the hiring of a new band director, Tony Mayato.

“Two of our wonderful students, Jacob Morgan and Isaac Davis, both played solos in this event. Isaac scored an Excellent, the second-best rating and Jacob scored a Superior, the best,” said Mayato. “These are incredible ratings for having never participated in an event like this before. We are so proud of both of these young men.”
