Biltmore Elementary recently held its annual Donuts for Dads event, which is sponsored by Communities In Schools and invites male family members of Biltmore students to come have breakfast and spend quality time with their student(s).
Nearly 30 dads, step dads, grandfathers, uncles, brothers and cousins joined about 45 students in the Biltmore Media Center.
As a special guest this year, Biltmore was honored to have former Jacksonville Jaguars player Don Davey speak about his experiences in life, and the journey he went through to learn how important education is and how important it is to be a positive role model to students.
The event was a great success and Biltmore Elementary students and staff look forward to next year’s Donuts for Dads! The school offers many thanks to all the men who attended and Jaguars player Don Davey for a wonderful event.
