Congratulations to the
Eugene J. Butler Middle School B.O.L.D Program for being selected to receive a Fidelity Field Trip award to Washington, D.C., valued at $5,000, through their partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.
B.O.L.D is an after-school program that serves middle schools and several elementary schools, and is a combination of academic remediation, homework assistance, and recreation and enrichment activities.
The Fidelity Field Trip seeks to engage members and employees of the Boys and Girls Clubs along with Fidelity employees in enrichment activities for middle school students that are designed to prepare young people for adulthood and the world of work. Specifically, the program provides opportunities for students from area clubs to experience community field trips that allow participants to explore possible careers and understand the role of education in their future success.
The funding for the trip is provided by Fidelity Investments, an international provider of financial services and investment resources that help individuals and institutions meet their financial objectives. Fidelity is a national Boys & Girls Clubs partner. Both organizations are united in the belief that all young people should have the opportunity to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Congratulations to Eugene J. Middle School and many thanks to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida and Fidelity Investments for sponsoring this memorable learning experience and encouraging our students on their educational journey.
