Timucuan Elementary recently held its Cupcake Rodeo and Silent Auction. Local bakeries participated in a fun and tasteful cupcake competition to be crowned the 2011 Cupcake War Winner. The cupcakes were judged on flavor, appearance and creativity.
The day consisted of entertaining activities for students of all ages including games, door prizes and great music.
The silent auction included autographed items from celebrities such as Garry Marshall, Sean Kingston, Lauren Mayhew, former Miss America Ericka Dunlap, Allison Janney, Todd McClure, Tom Bergeron, Larry the Cable Guy, Linden Ashby, Jasmine Sagginario and Justin Bieber. The auction will help support student incentive programs and awards.
The event was a great way to get the community involved in school activities and it allowed the students to enjoy a day of sweet treats and educational fun.
