The students at
Merrill Road Elementary laced up their running shoes to complete the annual 10-minute jog. This year, the whole school participated in the jog, including some teachers and parents.

The students began conditioning in January and progressed a little each week. Before recess each day, the students were asked to jog for a certain period of time before they went out to play. The first week they were asked to jog for one minute, then as each week passed they added on another minute. After many weeks of conditioning, the day arrived where each student was challenged with jogging for 10 minutes straight without stopping or walking.
There are a total of 33 classes at Merrill Road Elementary, and all students from each class successfully completed the jog. This is a great way to get the students exercising while having fun at the same time. Great job to everyone at Merrill Road Elementary for participating in this wonderful event!
