Katie Hecht, student at
LaVilla School of the Arts, was selected as the winner of the Eyewitness history contest at Current Events magazine.
For the contest, Katie submitted her interview with subject John Kuai. Katie’s interview will be featured in Issue 24 of Current Events, published in May. In addition, she'll receive a $200 award.
“Katie’s introduction is clear and engaging, and her questions are interesting and thoughtful,” said senior editor of Current Events magazine Lauren Davis.
