Chets Creek Principal Kisses a Pig

As a part of the Chets Creek Elementary Readers to Leaders Campaign, the school organizes special activities for the students to participate in every nine weeks as a reward for their hard work.

For the most recent event, the principal of Chets Creek, Ms. Phillips, held an "I kissed a pig picnic" for all of the students that met their reading goals. Students were invited to the pavilion after their lunch time to enjoy a popsicle and watch their principal kiss a live pig. The students were thrilled to see their principal hug and kiss the pig as it squirmed and screeched in her arms. The students even received a "my principal kissed a pig" sticker to wear for the rest of the day.

For the last nine weeks, the kids that have met their reading goals will be invited to a reading carnival. There will be nine carnival games set-up outside. The students will get five tickets to play five of the games and will earn prize tickets to choose prizes as well.
