The Englewood High newspaper, RamPage, recently won the Times-Union’s annual High School Journalism Awards contest. For the next year, Englewood will keep the Henry A. Blumenthal Memorial trophy as recognition for winning the overall award for the top paper.
The RamPage was also the winner of six individual awards and received a monetary award which will go toward producing next year’s editions of the newspaper.
The newspaper is run by language arts teacher Bryan Noonan. Mr. Noonan has worked very hard to develop such a strong team of students to write, edit and publish the RamPage.
Congratulations to all of the students who contributed to the paper and to Mr. Noonan for creating and encouraging journalistic interest in these students.
Other schools that received awards in this contest include
Baldwin Middle/High School for their paper, Indian Trails and
Douglas Anderson School of the Arts for their paper, the Improvisor.
