Wolfson High Students Win Multinational JA Competition

For the first time ever, one of Duval County public high schools has won the 2011 Junior Achievement (JA) Banks in Action Competition. The Florida Bank from Wolfson High won first-place in the multi-national competition. Team members include:

Alen Kajdic                      Meri Logoreci                   Lexus Walton

JA Banks in Action is a volunteer-led program built around eight classroom sessions. During each session, students learn the fundamentals of the banking industry and then have the opportunity to apply what they learn in a competitive environment using the JA Banks in Action computer simulation.

All team members were students in the business academy at Wolfson High. The team was coached by a volunteer from CitiCards. In addition to the honor of winning, the three students will split a prize of $1500.
