Kali Milner, graduating senior at
Terry Parker High, was recently presented with a check for $20,000 during the Senior Class Awards night, held earlier this month at Terry Parker.
Wachovia Bank, a division of Wells Fargo Bank, became a PASS business partner with Sallye B. Mathis Elementary School more than nine years ago. Eight years ago, Wachovia awarded three $20,000 scholarships to two fifth-grade students and one fourth-grade student with requirements that the students had to meet over the years to receive the scholarship when they graduated high school. Kali was the only one who met those requirements and was granted her $20,000 scholarship.
Kali’s time at Terry Parker was filled with many accomplishments and achievements. Kali was nominated first runner-up for Miss Terry Parker during her junior year, and was inducted into the National Honor Society. During her senior year, Kali was nominated Prom Queen, Treasurer of the student body, vice president of the National Honor Society, co-captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, member of the varsity fast pitch softball team, and a participant of the Interact Service Club, Math Club and Senior Women.
Kali graduated at the top 10 percent of her class and has been accepted at the University of Florida where she will begin classes this month. Congratulations Kali on receiving this scholarship. Your dedication to your education is impressive and we encourage you to keep up the hard work with your education in the future.
