Henry F. Kite Elementary recently celebrated Literacy Week. During the week, celebrity readers visited the school to read to students to promote the importance of reading in education.
The celebrity readers included parents, police officers, maintenance employees and business partners.

Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals also stopped by to read, along with Selinda Keyes, the executive director for the district’s Elementary Turnaround schools.
Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type and the Honest-to-Goodness Truth were a couple of the books that the students enjoyed listening to when the celebrity readers visited their classrooms.
