Thanksgiving Celebrations at Pinedale and Beauclerc Elementary

Students, staff, parents and community members recently visited Pinedale Elementary for the fourth annual Thanksgiving Literacy Celebration.

During the event, the three ESE Pre-K classes brought one of their November curriculum books, Cathryn Fawell's Feast For 10, to life. Students read the book and celebrated with a true feast!

Pinedale Elementary sends a huge thank you to all the parents and friends who brought side dishes and beverages, in addition to the three turkeys staff members roasted at school, for everyone to enjoy.

Also celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday was Beauclerc Elementary's three kindergarten Dual Language classes who hosted their annual Thanksgiving luncheon for students and families.

Dressed as pilgrims, Native Americans and turkeys, students began with a Spanish welcome song and ended with an English giving thanks song. Following the performance, the children joined their families for a wonderful feast prepared by their parents.

Enjoyed by all, this occasion reflected a great show of support for the school's Dual Language program.
