After nine intense rounds of
New Berlin Elementary’s fifth-grade spelling bee competition, Connor E. proved to be the school’s top speller with the winning word: telepathic.
Karlous L. placed second and Shayna L. came in third-place. Connor and Karlous’s teacher, Mrs. Catz, was extremely proud of her students. Their months of practice led to this success. Mrs. Rayen, Shayna’s teacher, was also present to cheer on her students throughout the competition.
Connor will continue on in the written test to see if he qualifies for the district spelling bee, representing New Berlin Elementary. Congratulations Connor!
