Sabal Palm Elementary held their annual Student Council installation ceremony. Julie Delgadillo, faculty sponsor and third-grade teacher, presided over the ceremony.
Principal Linda Graham welcomed the third-, fourth- and fifth-graders as she introduced guest speaker, Dr. Donnie Horner, Jacksonville’s first Education Commissioner.
Student Council president Khari M., vice president Jake Y. and secretary Kyra K. took the oath of office with other classroom representatives and alternates. The Sabal Palm Chorus entertained the audience with two patriotic musical selections as directed by music teacher Cam Price.
Assistant Principal Kathy Herlihy invited the Student Council officers, representatives and guests to take part in a congratulatory reception for the new members.
