A beautiful voice rang out inside the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena as Lindsay Allen, third-grade teacher at
Long Branch Elementary School, sang the National Anthem. Ms. Allen performed on center-stage for the audience in attendance for the Jacksonville Giants' basketball game.
"Her voice was electrifying!" said Vincent Taylor, one of Ms. Allen's many co-workers who were there to support her. The entire audience cheered as she performed in front of the largest crowd of the year. A diamond in the ruff has been brought to light.
