The United States Tennis Association (USTA) hosted an outdoor tennis assembly for the students at
Beauclerc Elementary. Stations were set up around the playground and basketball courts, each featuring a particular tennis skill.
USTA volunteers, PTA volunteers, interns, coaches and teachers demonstrated the tennis skills and gave the students time to practice and master the skill before moving onto the next station. More than 1,200 students grabbed hold of their rackets and learned the game of tennis.
Thanks to USTA, Beauclerc Elementary students will be invited to a tennis festival taking place later this year.
