Stilwell Middle's Comic Book Club Releases First Publication

Joseph Stilwell Middle School's Comic Book Club is pleased to announce the publication of their first anthology, capping off a year of hard work and fun.

The Comic Book Club is comprised of seven students - Asti M., Bryan G., Katie B., Kenik D., Megan M., Na'Trell T. and Willie M. - led by seventh-grade science teacher Mr. Joseph Rawlins. All of the Comic Book Club members wrote and illustrated their own stories over the year to include in the first anthology.

Students and teachers alike at Stilwell have been grabbing up copies of the book. On the first day of sales, the authors and artists set up shop in the cafeteria, signing and selling books to the crowd. As a reward for all their hard work, the students in the Comic Book Club took a field trip to see The Avengers in IMAX 3D on opening day.

Copies of the first anthology can be purchased for $5 with all proceeds going towards printing and technology for next year's Comic Book Club. Contact Mr. Rawlins for more information.
