Twin Lakes Academy Elementary recently held Cowboy Camp to reward students for meeting their reading goal during the school year. Students were challenged to read 30 books every nine weeks, which is the equivalent of 1 million words.
As a result of meeting the principal's challenge, students were allowed to participate in this year's Cowboy Camp. Principal Robertson, along with the top reader from each grade level, competed in a fun pie-eating contest. Students also enjoyed country line dancing, a petting zoo, sack races, a seed spitting contest, story tellers and much more to celebrate meeting the reading goal.
